Live streaming for Celebrations of Life
Client's Challenge:
The client faced the challenge of accommodating virtual participants who couldn't physically attend the Celebration of Life service at Sanctuary Willingdon Church on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. Additionally, they were looking for an audiovisual solution that would allow integration to capture and preserve the purpose of the ceremony, for both in-person and remote attendees.
Setup
- Live Streaming: We implemented a seamless live-streaming solution, broadcasting the ceremony onto Zoom for virtual participants to watch remotely.
- Slideshow Creation: A personalized slideshow was crafted, beautifully capturing the significant moments of the individual's life. This added a poignant touch to the ceremony, celebrating the legacy of the departed.
- Video Playback: Multiple projectors were utilized to display heartfelt slideshows, providing a visual backdrop for speeches, prayers, and cherished memories.
- Multiple Camera Coverage: To ensure a comprehensive view of the ceremony, we deployed multiple cameras, strategically covering different angles and perspectives.
- Recording and Keepsake: The entire ceremony was recorded, and the client received a recording on a thumb drive. This allowed them to revisit and share the special moments of the Celebration of Life, creating a lasting keepsake.
Our Response
Aiming to create a meaningful and inclusive experience for this celebration of life, we were able to offer a complete audiovisual solution, optimally integrating technology with compassion. We were committed to making virtual attendees feel connected, as well as providing an experience with thoughtful visuals for in-person attendees. This resulted in a comfortable experience for both types of attendees.
Outcome
The Celebration of Life service at Sanctuary Willingdon Church on March 11, 2023 was a heartfelt and inclusive experience. Live streaming made it possible for virtual participants to join from around the world, expanding the reach of the ceremony. The personalized slideshow and video playback created a moving atmosphere, celebrating the person's life. The deployment of several cameras guaranteed the capture of each of the significant moments and the client received a recording to be able to have a sincere memory. The client and the attendees were left with a deep and significant life well lived, generating emotions in physical and virtual participation.
